Growing up without a parent can be an emotional roller coaster. Knowing that the person who helped create you, doesn’t want anything to do with you, hurts more than ever. If you did not have a parent in your life, don’t allow the cycle to continue. As a parent you have an impact on your child’s life. You have a responsibility to love, protect and be present.
 
No Fill-in, step- or godparent can replace you. While being a parent is not an easy task, growing up without one isn’t easy either. If your parent was not physically present, seek after the Father who will never leave or forsake you. Maybe in time, you will be willing to forgive and welcome the physical presence of The Unknown if it presents itself. This book describes the author's experience growing up without her father.
